On March 30th, Jin Huidong, Chairman of the Korean Drone Sports Association, and Lu Qing, head of China D1 Sky Sports, and Terra, President of the Japan Drone Sports Association, met at the Oakwood Hotel Incheon after the establishment of the Asian Drone Sports Association.
On the same day, Jin Huidong, Chairman of the Korean Drone Sports Association, and Lu Qing, the head of China D1 Sky Sports, and Terra, President of the Japan Drone Sports Association, unanimously adopted the association charter to establish the Asian Drone Sports Association. The meeting decided to hold the first UAV Asian Cup competition in Shenzhen, China in June this year. The first UAV Asian Cup is expected to invite 24 teams to participate.
Earlier this month, the first World Drone Grand Prix in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, decided to win the track and freestyle championships. Jin Huidong, Chairman of the Korea Drone Sports Association, promoted the popularity of the Asian Drone Sports Association and was elected as the first president of the Association for a two-year term.
The Asian Drone Athletic Association is the association of each member country’s joint cooperation and development business, and sponsors outstanding players to participate in the drone Asian Cup. Outstanding players will be unveiled at the unmanned international stage of the event. In addition, the International School of Drones, which was established for the training of unmanned athletes, will also help the development of drones.
Industry representatives from South Korea, China and Japan, and most other Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong also joined the Asian Drone Sports Association. The association will grow into a true Asian drone competition representative.
The Korea Drone Sports Association currently has 42 teams registered and 2,800 members. There are 500 in China and 100 in Japan.
The Asian Drone Sports Association undertakes international exchanges and cooperation with national drone competition organizations, such as AGP, IDRA, FPV Fomula, Drone Nationals.
